Wednesday in Paradise

Went down to Club Paradise Wed. night. It's Cruise and Bike night outside and Country, as always, inside. It was nice to get a look at some really beautiful classic cars on the way in. My favorite was a 60's Corvette. The owner wasn't there, so I didn't get the exact year, but it was a 454 engine that looked like a perfect fit in this machine. Inside, the dancehall was crowded as usual. Everone is dancing to their favorite tunes and one new one that I really liked. I should have asked Pat what the title was. Oh well, there is always next week. They said the combination of Cruise, Bikes and Country would be a weekly event this summer. If your looking for something to do on Wednesday, check it out.

Link to Lockport Concerts

Today I added a link to the Lockport Concert Series for this year.
It's at the bottom of the Main Page so that when this message disappears, the link will stay.

Also the Dance and Song, that go with the Dance lesson of the week, are:
Dance- Sun Stroll
Song - Cowgirls by George Strait.

I will make these two listings regular weekly posts here as requested.

Just so all you Country fans know, going by Infinity last night (Saturday) the lights were out and nobody was home. So much for Heavy Metal bands.

Thursday Night Dancing

Just two pictures from Thurs. Night. It looked like college finals are over as the younger crowd seemed to be back in force this weeks. And they were announcing the band on Saturday all night. What will they think of next?

Is that guy in the first row trying to do the Twist?

I should have gotten a picture of Norm struggling to get around the line dancers last night. The new DJ really needs to be aware of a need to keep that outside track open when the younger crowd blocks it up. It consistently hapens the same time every week and probably during the same songs. Does anybody have any ideas?

Dancing in the Southtowns

Finally got back to the Club Paradise Wednesday. Did a lot of dancing. Saw lots of old friends. Great time. Hey, didn't stick to the floor over at the bar. What a surprise!!! The dance floor seemed to be in good condition until dancing the shooter. Oh well, you can't have everything. It was in a lot better shape than it was in the past. Will have to go back sometime.

Another great week of dancing

The week started off with Thursday nights packed house. The dance lesson was "The One For Me". Great dance for just about any song. Not a lot of steps. My kind of dance. They played a good variety of music to dance to. I can never get too many 2 Steps in a night.
Then Saturday had a good turnout, with a lot of the younger crowd coming in for a change. The band was 90 West. They play a good mix of songs the mix different dances into. It wasn't all shadow Schottiche like some bands. They play 2 Step, Follow Me, Cha-Cha, Sidekicker's too. Didn't take the camera this week but plan to take it next week. Naughty Dawg is playing this Saturday. They are a good band and should draw a great crowd. Hope to see you there.
Oh yea, here is the link to dance step web site I've been telling everyone about
